Since 1978, both ballet and modern dance have provided source material and a sub-theme for my work. To convey the energy of dance, I use distortion and system “noise” from analog video processing equipment to create a sense of movement, texture and visual excitement. The image is stripped of any narrative except that supplied by the viewer’s imagination.
