Mary Ross. Deep Sea Diver, 1983. Cibachrome Photograph.

Mary Ross has been involved with photography as a means of artistic expression since 1972. In 1976, she began using video processing devices and computers to produce still images on film. The human form is a recurring motif in her photography along with many images of dance. Though often abstracted, Mary's photographs usually contain recognizable elements. In recent work, she continued to explore abstract renditions of the human form in imaginary landscapes.
